Any conductor subjected to alternating current generates a vibrational phenomenon (Laplace force). Stéphane Missakian, the designer of Murmure Audio cables, defines his approach as follows: “A unique concept of eliminating disturbances generated by the flow in the cable was a revelation to me in listening. This technique, originally developed for the power supply of precision instruments, is materialized by boxes inserted on the cable.” The idea is to break the cable resonance generated by the power supply. No LCR filter-type components in these boxes, but a physical intervention on the cable’s geometry. Made with “cost no object” materials.
